A man survived a near-fatal car crash in Saudi Arabia after another car suddenly swerved off the road and crashed into the back of his car. He was standing mere inches away from his car - unloading the trunk - when the accident occurred. The rule has come into effect from February, 2018. A ‘certificate of good conduct’ will now be a prerequisite for obtaining a work visa in the UAE, a high-level panel has announced. The decision of the committee, which was approved, has come into effect recently. The certificate should be issued by the country of origin of the person, or the country where he has been living for the past five years, the committee added. It should then be ratified by the state’s mission, as well as the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Around 499 expat worker were arrested for violating labour laws in Oman in December, reported Timesof Oman.. Oman Ministry of Manpower said, 374 business laborers, 29 farming workers and 96 housemaids were among those arrested. As per the Ministry's online explanation, "An examination group from the Ministry of Manpower figured out how to arrest 499 workers in violation upon the work law and directions between December 16 and December 22. "After an examination [it was found that] 213 of them were fleeing workers, 253 were laid-off laborers and 30 of them had no official reports," the ministry included.
